The Skin I'm In

Chapter 14
What I read today was about Maleeka met some new friends that were name Char, Raina, and Raise. So Maleeka met their friends when after fifth period instead of going to the office to work she head to the hallways and she saw those friends and the lockers. And when she went to them she said to them hello. So when they started to hang out with Char and their twins which there name are Raina, and Raise Char told her that she better show up if I know what's good for me.

Chapter 17
Today I read that two boys are hassling Maleeka and she ain't never seen them before. And when they are with her they tell her bean pole and someone say you mean black bean. And then a lady across the street yells up and says leave the girl be alone. And when she says that the boys they tease her more, but she ignores them and keep on walking.

Chapter 18
What I read was interesting because Char, Maleeka, Raise, Raina were cutting class. And they said hanging and going to the girls bathrooms is like a party time, Char likes to say. So that's why she goes ready to have a good time. And in the bathroom Maleeka and Char are smoking and that's what it is interesting because I didn't hope that Char and Maleeka would smoke. Then Miss Saunders comes over to me and yanks the cigarette out of my hand. And she says "I'm surprised to see you here, Maleeka," she says, flushing the cigarette down the toilet.

Giver Book v Movie blog post which is due Wednesday

Giver Book v Movie blog post
Introduction
I think that the movie was better than the book for a lot of reasons. One of my reasons is that you could look what were they doing or look like in the movie and more detail. My second reason because I couldn't really visualize while I was reading because there were words that I didn't understand and in the movie I could look much better. My third reason is because the movie begins right before Jonas’ Ceremony of twelve.

One of my reasons is that you could look what were they doing or look like in the movie. For example every day we could Jonas sliding his wrist over with a sensor that is injection with the medicine that every person should take once when they are getting the stirrings so they can help prevent them on the movie this was on exposition and it was detail because we could see and in the book Jonas takes pills every day that every person needs to take once they get the stirrings to help them prevent them we couldn't see but we visualize but I didn't visualize that much because there were some parts that were complicated to understand this was on exposition. And in the movie we could see the Giver and Jonas sitting in chairs when Jonas was receiving memories from the Giver from each other they would hold each others forearms this is on rising action. And in the movie the Giver would only tell or give memories if the receiver had the same dark mark that they had on their wrist that needed to looked like a raindrop and it was detail because we could see and this was rising action. And in the book while Jonas was receiving the memories from the giver he would lay on the bed with his shirt off while the Giver would lay hands on his back and couldn't really visualize really well this was on rising action .

My second reason because I couldn't really visualize while I was reading in the book because there were words that I didn't understand and in the movie I could look much better. Like and the movie there were words that show on the screen explaining how their society operates so that make so much better this was on exposition and in the book we could read but like I didn't understand that much but others may understand. And in the movie we could see and look when Jonas decides one night to go to Elsewhere without consulting the Giver and in the book and this was on climax.

My third reason is because the movie begins right before Jonas’ Ceremony of twelve except in the movie it's a Ceremony of Sixteen, and at the age that makes the love triangle and that it doesn't show in the book more believable than it might have been otherwise. And the movie and the book Jonas is selected as the new Receiver of Memories and in both he is lauded for his virtues. In the book Jonas has “funny eyes” which are lighter than most of the people, a sign of capacity to be a receiver of the memory. In the movie, Jonas and some other receivers are identifiable by birthmarks on their right wrists.

Conclusion
In my opinion I think that the movie was better for several reasons. One of my reasons is because you could look what were they doing or look like in the movie. For example every day we could Jonas sliding his wrist over with a sensor that is injection with the medicine that every person should take once when they are getting the stirrings so they can help prevent them on the movie this was on exposition. My second reason is because I couldn't really visualize while I was reading in the book because there were words that I didn't understand and in the movie I could look much better. Like and the movie there were words that show on the screen explaining how their society operates so that make so much better this was on exposition. My third reason is because the movie begins right before Jonas’ Ceremony of twelve except in the movie it's a Ceremony of Sixteen, and at the age that makes the love triangle and that it doesn't show in the book more believable than it might have been otherwise. https://prezi.com/m/fw3z94n97k1e/the-giver-book-movie-comparison/. 743 words.

THE TECHNOLOGY OF THE ENGINE CAR

How does a car engine work?

I read about the motor of a car and it generate the power needed to move your car all the places it needs to go and if you create an explosion in a tiny, enclosed space, such as a piston in an engine, a huge amount of energy is released as expanding gas.

What does a car engine do?

What I read about is that an engine is a typical car engine creates such explosions hundreds of time per minute and the engine harnesses the energy and uses it to propel your car and the explosions force pistons in the engine to move.

What if the explosion explodes?

I read about the explosion engine and it's when the energy from the first explosion has almost run out, another explosion occurs and this forces the pistons to move again and the cycle continues again and again, giving the car the power needed to run.

What is internal combustion?

What I read is about the process of converting gasoline into motion is called "internal combustion." Internal combustion engines use small, controlled explosions to generate the power needed to move your car all the places it needs to go.

Written byMary M. Cerullo . photographs by Jeffrey L. Rotman

Some great whites

I read about some great whites sharks and there are some great white sharks that grow to 19 to 21 feet and that's about 6 meters long and there weigh is as much as 7,000 pounds and that is 3,175 kilograms or about twice as much as a pick-up truck!

Great Whites Are Good Mothers

What I read about is that white sharks have only a few babies at a time, which they keep inside their bodies for many months and the baby sharks hatch from eggs while they are still inside their mother and when they are born, they are fully.

Great Whites Don't Attack in a Feeding Frenzy

I read about how to attack white sharks and in order to attract great white sharks to their research boats, scientists pour blood, fish oil, meat, and tuna into the water bringing together lots of great whites in one place and filling the water.

SWIMMING WITH HAMMERHEAD SHARKS

SWIMMING WITH HAMMERHEAD SHARKS

Kenneth Mallory

Shark Scientists

What I read is that sharks fins are stripped from hammerheads and other sharks-fin soup and other Asian delicacies and that fins for shark-fin soup, and the senseless killing of sharks just because they are sharks are well.

Kenneth Mallory

Shark Scientists

I read about sharks and that they are hammerhead sharks was the fear they inspired in the characters in a novel by Ernest Hemingway called Islands in the Stream that there are nine different kinds of hammerhead sharks, not just the great hammerhead.

What I read about is that there are different kinds of hammerhead sharks and they have spines then normal sharks because there are different types of sharks and that sharks have other different types of soups.

THE MIDDLE AGES

Middle Ages for Kids

http://www.ducksters.com/history/middle ages timeline.php

This article talk about the Romans and what they did in the Roman culture and how knowledge was lost. And when I read this article I never knew that it was going to talk about this. And while I was reading this book it didn't tell us about where they lived.

This article talk about the nobles and what do they lived and they lived in more comfortable lives than the lower classes but this did not mean that they were always easier. And when I read this article I never knew that it was going to talk about this. And while I was reading this book didn't talk about what did they did.

SOCCER

NO WEAK LINKS

I read about that some specialize in attacking, some in defending and play "two-way." and throughout  the field, running an average of 10 miles per game and two second-place World Cup finishes, divided time between striker.

PROTECT AND DEFEND

What I read is that is defender is for defend and to get the ball, stop the scorer-that´s their assign-ment and usually played four per team, three defenders will be joined by a ´´sweeper,´´ who helps any defensive teammate and at time, a sweeper.

GOALKEEPER'S GOALS

I read about the goalkeepers and that how do they played and goalkeepers can play the ball with any part of the body, without interference from offensive players and that does not stop attackers from playing mind games with goalies, getting as close as possible.

GAME PLAN IN ACTION

What I read is about soccer stars and they are player manages to be in the right place at the right time and explanation may be in a word often left out of tributes to fine players: "smart." At either end of the field, soccer game plans vary from moment to moment.
